اَلْفَلَق
Al-Falaq
The Daybreak
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Bismillah hir rahman nir raheem
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
(١) قُلۡ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلۡفَلَقِ
Qul a’oozu bi rabbil-falaq
(1) Say, “I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak
(٢) مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
Min sharri maa khalaq
(2) From the evil of that which He created
(٣) وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ
Wa min sharri ghaasiqin izaa waqab
(3) And from the evil of darkness when it settles
(٤) وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّـٰثَٰتِ فِي ٱلۡعُقَدِ
Wa min sharrin-naffaa-saati fil ‘uqad
(4) And from the evil of the blowers in knots
(٥) وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ
Wa min sharri haasidin izaa hasad
(5) And from the evil of an envier when he envies.”
